Over the course of one full year, 13 million metric tons of plastic ends up in the oceans on Earth. This amount is growing more and more as time goes on, with 46,000 pieces of plastic existing in each square mile of ocean. Ford is striving to help reduce the amount of plastic in our oceans by using 100 percent recycled ocean plastic in the construction of their vehicles.
