How Often Should I Service My Ford F-150?

As a responsible truck owner, you know how essential regular maintenance is for your F-150. 10,000-Mile Service

At its first big service appointment, your F-150 will get an oil change and tire rotation if needed. The tire tread will be examined. A multi-point inspection will be done to make sure everything is wearing as expected. Specific areas that will be inspected include:

   
• Exhaust system and heat shields
   
• Ball joints, suspension, driveshaft, steering linkage, U-joints
   
• Brakes: Lining, rotors, pads, drums, parking brake, hoses
   
• Cooling System: Fluid level, hoses, strength
   
• Wheels: Inspected for looseness, abnormal noise, wear

If a dipstick is present, the fluid level of your automatic transmission will be checked.

30,000-Mile Service

Once again, tire issues will be addressed, and an oil change can be performed. Your engine air filter, or filters, will be replaced. Because not all F-150's are driven under the same conditions, a multi-point inspection will be conducted to see if your truck has any additional needs at this time.

60,000-Mile Service

As your vehicle gets older, more systems will need to be added to your Ford F-150 maintenance schedule. On top of the standard oil change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection, the accessory drive belt will be examined. If equipped, your cabin air filter will also be replaced.

100,000-Mile Service

Everything examined previously is looked at once again. If your spark plugs have not been replaced before this point, they will be at this service.
