As Motor Trend remarks, the Fusion Sport is no ordinary Ford Fusion. It boasts 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive comes as a standard feature, which may put it ahead of other performance sedans which offer all-wheel drive only as an expensive add-on.
Value is one of the Fusion Sport's appealing features that marketing manager Wade Jackson hopes will help it woo customers away from German brands like Audi and BMW. "Cross-shoppers will be shocked by the bang for the buck our new Fusion Sport delivers," he says.
The Fusion Sport offers elegant styling and cutting-edge technology, as well as class-topping torque, but we think the greatest headway it can make against German brands is in the cup holders.
If you have driven a German sports car, you likely noticed the cup holders were either absent (particularly in older models), or were located somewhere hard to reach, like under the overhang of the dashboard, so only small containers could fit. The Ford Fusion has cup holders placed where they are easiest to access in the center console and side doors, and they are designed to accommodate both large and small containers.
This powerful model is coming to Grapevine Ford Lincoln later this summer, so contact us to arrange a test drive.
