And if you haven't heard yet, it now includes a new military-grade all-aluminum bed and body, new high-strength steel frame and awesome new tech and cargo-management features. Furthermore, thanks to its new light-weight aluminum structure, the truck is now about 700 pounds lighter. That's right - 700 pounds! And its weight loss means you can expect a boost in capability.
As a matter of fact, the next-generation version of the truck has already claimed the segment's best trailering and hauling ratings, with the ability to tow up to 12,200 pounds (with an all-new EcoBoost V-6) and haul up to 3,300 pounds (with a V-8) when properly equipped. In addition, F-150 comes with innovative new features like a BoxLink cargo system with added tie-down points, LED lights integrated in the bed, a 360-degree camera, hands-free remote tailgate release and available blind-spot monitoring, among other new features.
