The former MyFord Touch and SYNC system are out and an all-new SYNC 3 system is in! Debuting on the 2016 Escape and Fiesta, which arrive at our dealership this summer, the new SYNC 3 system is smarter, easier-to-use and more streamlined that its predecessor. Some of the key changes for the SYNC 3 system compared to the outgoing MyFord Touch and original SYNC system are its simplified and easier-to-read interface, which includes a higher contrast screen, enlarged icons that are easier to spot at a glance, and pared down options and buttons that are now featured in a cleaner menu layout.
Another big change is the full integration of AppLink, which formerly only worked on the SYNC system and wouldn’t appear on MyFord Touch. Now the entire system is AppLink compatible and more than 60 applications are available! In addition, enhanced voice technology and a new capacitive screen with multi-gesture touch control are other bonus.
