Grapevine Ford is very proud to announce the recent graduation of Service Technician Sergio Zavala from Brookhaven College's Automotive Student Service Educational Training (ASSET) program! The two-year apprenticeship-based program was designed by Brookhaven and Ford Motor Company to help prepare students to work as automotive service technicians at a Ford Lincoln dealership.
Students in the ASSET program must attend intensive classroom sessions that include numerous laboratory exercises; this is followed by cooperative work experience at the student's sponsoring Ford or Lincoln Mercury dealership. Over the course of the entire program, which is approximately 90 weeks, students spend nearly equal time in the dealership as they do in the classroom, so they have plenty of opportunity to apply what they learn at Brookhaven in a professional, real-world dealership setting.
It was a pleasure to have Sergio onboard at our auto repair center in Grapevine, TX as he went through the ASSET program and now we're excited that he's joined our team as an official service technician! Congratulations again, Sergio!
