Engineers have been busy testing out the all-new Ford F-150 Raptor that’s scheduled to arrive in the 2017 model year (which technically means the fall of 2016). The newest edition of the truck will have a higher ground clearance, new transfer case and new mechanical-locking four-wheel-drive system!

Also noteworthy, standard 3.0-inch FOX Racing Shox with custom internal bypass technology will be introduced on the 2017 Raptor, providing superb shock absorption by expertly damping and stiffening suspension when one is traveling over coarse paths. Trail performance is also greatly enhanced by the new clutch-driven transfer case mentioned above. It provides more torque when it’s needed most, offering advanced management of power distribution across the rear and front wheels.

All in all, the redesigned 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor will be the most intelligent and most capable model yet. In the video below you can see the truck being tested on a trail in northern Michigan. It not only crawls up the trail with ease, but also travels over large obstacles and through a muddy stream with no problem. To see the truck in action click play below!
