Ford is jumping in on the 3D printing trend by enabling the public to download free 3D printable files of its vehicle models from a new online store powered by TurboSquid. Ford has used 3D printing for quite a while to create quick parts for its prototypes and now the company wants to share the fun with its fans.

Over 1,000 free 3D digital files are also available to download, including those of the Model T and new Ford GT. However, the 3D printable files are what’s really caught attention. So far there are files for the new Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Shelby GT350R, F-150 Raptor and Ford GT. Several more 3D printable files will be available in the future, too.

Using the downloads, one can print their own Ford replica in any size they wish using a material of their choosing, not just plastic like the small ones you can order, which are also only offered in 1/32nd scale. With free files for download, you (or a professional 3D printing company) can use certain types of metal, stone, soft plastic or other applicable materials and make a life-sized model if you really wanted to.
