Austin Cindric, a Ford Performance NASCAR Cup driver, has been selected to race for the Ford Multimatic Motorsports team at the 2025 Rolex 24 at Daytona. He'll be stepping in for endurance driver Ben Barker, who is recovering from a broken collarbone sustained in a holiday skiing accident. Cindric will race alongside regular drivers Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx in the Ford Multimatic Motorsports Mustang GT3.
This will be Cindric's sixth Rolex 24 appearance, and he's confident that the Mustang GT3 will help him perform well.
Born in Mooresville, NC, Cindric has multiple race wins in the NASCAR Cup Series. One of his most notable victories came in the 2022 Daytona 500, where he piloted a Team Penske Mustang to victory. Before his NASCAR career, Cindric participated in top-tier sports car racing events around the U.S. He's an experienced driver in Ford development cars like the Mustang GT4 and has four Michelin Pilot Challenge starts at Daytona with Multimatic Motorsports, including a 2019 victory with Priaulx at Road Atlanta.
2025 marks a special milestone for Cindric, as it's the 10th anniversary of his first race with Multimatic and Ford at Daytona. The team is excited to have him back, and Cindric looks forward to getting ready for the January 26th race.
