Specs at a Glance
With major enhancements, the 2025 Ford Maverick® becomes an even more compelling compact pickup. Alongside its refreshed styling, the newest Maverick® includes the revamped SYNC 4 infotainment system. When considering a new Maverick®, prospective buyers typically choose between the XLT and Lobo™ trims. Let's see how they differ.
Performance
The Maverick® XLT comes equipped with a 2.5L hybrid engine as standard, making it one of the most fuel-efficient models in its class. Ford rates this hybrid at a combined 191 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission helps boost fuel economy. For those desiring extra power, the XLT offers an optional 2.0L EcoBoost engine that churns out 250 horsepower. Standard front-wheel drive can be upgraded to all-wheel drive if preferred.
The Maverick® Lobo™ comes standard with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine. It pairs with a unique seven-speed automatic transmission featuring paddle shifters, heightening the driving thrill. Ford engineered the Lobo™ trim to be sportier, featuring a lowered suspension and performance-tuned steering for enhanced handling. The Lobo™ also benefits from sturdier brakes and a torque-vectoring AWD system.
Appearance
The 2025 XLT trim builds on the Maverick®'s refreshed look, sporting a redesigned front fascia and darkened headlamp covers. Ford accents the XLT with 17-inch Carbonized Gray aluminum wheels. Available exterior colors include Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat, adding visual appeal.
By contrast, the Maverick® Lobo™ flaunts a more menacing street-truck persona. Its lowered stance, exclusive 19-inch black wheels, and unique grille showcase its aggressive design ethos.
Features
Highlighting the XLT trim is the updated SYNC 4 infotainment system, featuring a larger 13.2-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Other notable features include Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start, in-bed cubby storage, and an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster.
Inside the Lobo™'s cabin, ActiveX seats with accent stitching demand attention. Standard Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and an optional B&O premium sound system ensure both comfort and premium audio quality.
