2017 Ford C-MAX Updates & Highlights

The C-MAX gains several notable changes for 2017, including a redesigned front fascia with new headlamp designs and grille openings, a brand-new Titanium trim level, added standard features on select models and a new White Gold paint color. Among the car's top highlights, C-MAX offers best-in-class passenger volume as well as ample cargo space with the rear seats folded flat: 52.6 cubic feet with the hybrid and 42.8 with the plug-in.

Additionally, many experts agree that it offers a surprisingly sporty feel compared to the Toyota Prius. Check out the rest of Grapevine Ford's 2017 Ford C-MAX review below and see why Edmunds.com calls the C-MAX "hard to beat."

Available Trim Levels & Key Features

When shopping for a 2017 Ford C-MAX in the Dallas area, you can choose SE and all-new Titanium trim levels, both of which can be had as EVs or "Energi" PHEVs (plug-in hybrids).

The SE includes standard remote keyless entry, two power outlets, a rearview camera and SYNC with voice recognition. SE trims also add a standard chrome-surround Ebony grille and 17-inch silver-finish alloy wheels for 2017. The new C-MAX Titanium builds on the SE, offering features like a hands-free liftgate, leather seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and heated seats.

C-MAX Fuel Economy & Horsepower

The C-MAX Hybrid and Energi are outfitted with a 2.0L four-cylinder engine, electric motor and battery that together provide class-leading 188 horsepower. The Hybrid offers an EPA-estimated 42 city/38 highway mpg, which is handy when driving around the Dallas area. If you're interested in a plug-in, the Energi is even more impressive with 104 city/87 highway mpg-e. Test drive a 2017 Ford C-MAX in Grapevine, TX to see which model is right for you!
