Trims & Features

Ford made the 2018 F-150 available in seven models including the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Raptor to cover everything. All models are available in three cab styles of regular, SuperCab, and SuperCrew that uniformly feature 40.8 inches of front headroom and 43.9 inches of front legroom. The SuperCrew version offers a second row with nearly identical clearance while the SuperCab version reduces rear legroom. Filling the generous interior space of the XL are amenities like air conditioning and AM/FM stereo. The XLT outfits its cabin with a single CD player and SYNC voice control while the front grille is graced by dual chrome bars. For the Lariat edition, additional comfort comes in the form of 10-position powered front seats with heating and ventilation while a dual climate system handles the rest. An 8-inch touch screen provides access to entertainment and camera surveillance. The King Ranch model extends heating to the rear seats while turning the vehicle into a Wi-Fi hotspot and providing access to 110 volts AC. The most distinct feature of the F-150 Platinum edition is the standard 5 liter V8 in the engine compartment. With the Limited SuperCrew model, daylight's supplied by a twin-panel moonroof. Finally, the F-150 Raptor announces its off-road bonafides with everything from a bold Ford logo across the nose to 450 horses coursing through the wheels.

2018 Ford F-150 ExteriorThe 2018 F-150 commits itself to choice with five engine options. 290 horsepower muscle and 265 lb-ft of torque is supplied by the basic 3.3 liter V6 paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque can be expected from the 2.7 liter turbocharged V6 that delivers exceptional fuel economy of 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. Turbocharging a 3.5 liter V6 leads to 375 horses and 470 lb-ft of torque when it's harnessed to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Further enhancements of the twin-turbocharged 3.5 liter V6 in the Raptor edition allow for 450 horsepower with 510 lb-ft of torque. Similarly impressive brawn of 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque comes from the 5 liter V8. Coming shortly, the sixth option of a 3 liter V6 turbodiesel secures the 2018 F-150 as the king of pickup powerplant choices.

2018 Ford F-150 InteriorThe Insurance Institute for Highway Safety put the 2018 F-150 through some tough tests and it came through with a rank of Good in all of them including the difficult small overlap frontal collision test. Along with robust construction, these results are made possible by the antilock brakes, traction and stability control, airbags, tire pressure monitor and rearview camera found in every F-150. Depending on the trim, the 2018 F-150 has followed up these standard features with such things as a blind spot alert, lane departure alert, lane holding, and rear cross-traffic alert. Pre-collision assist technology warns of head-on crashes including those with pedestrians and applies brakes automatically if necessary. Along with a 360-degree camera system, it's standard on the F-150 Limited edition and optional on the Lariat, Raptor, King Ranch, and Platinum editions.
