What's New for the 2019 Ford F-150?

For years, the F-150 has been one of the best-selling trucks from Ford. But even "great" can always get better. Therefore, in 2019, Ford has launched its fan-favorite truck with new amenities that are bound to please even the most particular truckers. One of the biggest changes to note in the newest F-150 is that a more powerful six-cylinder engine, capable of generating up to 450 HP, is now standard on select trim levels. The safety and technology features have been updated for the latest model year, and even the longest hauls are more enjoyable now with amenities like heated and ventilated front seats, wood trim accents, and new color options for the interior.

A Strong Lineup of 2019 Ford F-150 Trims

The base XL trim level features a 3.3L, six-cylinder engine. A standard dynamic hitch assist and a rearview camera make it easy to back up and navigate the XL through difficult places. The base model comes standard with cloth seats. Vinyl-covered bucket seats are an optional upgrade. Single-zone manual climate control is standard in this trim level. Technology comes in the form of SYNC infotainment system with a subwoofer, AM/FM radio, and satellite radio.

The XLT builds on those amenities with a chrome grille and 17-inch silver-coated aluminum wheels. Cloth seats are standard, but you can upgrade to 10-way heated front seats. The XLT also comes with single-zone climate control. Its technology includes the Ford SYNC system with a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The Lariat comes with a larger, more powerful engine and several different driving modes that help you power safely through a variety of conditions. Its infotainment system is the SYNC 3, which is especially user-friendly with features like voice control and a responsive touchscreen.

The Raptor features an oversize grille with distinct block letters. Specialized shocks give you a performance boost when you're off-roading and make urban driving much smoother. A 450 HP engine with eight cylinders is a highlight of this trim. Bucket seats are standard, and you can choose heated seats if you prefer.

The King Ranch trim gets a two-bar chrome grille with chrome accents. It has a more powerful premium audio system with 10 speakers. The King Ranch comes standard with heated and ventilated front seats. This trim level also has dual-zone climate control.

The Platinum features a chrome and satin grille to distinguish it from other trims. Its powerful engine generates up to 395 HP, and it comes with safety features including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. This trim level also has heated front and back seats and an infotainment system with voice-activated navigation and Wi-Fi.

Finally, the Limited gets a more powerful engine and a variety of interior features including perforated, heated, and ventilated seats. This year, the cabin gets a nice upgrade with wood trim accents. A two-tone color combination is a new choice for the Limited trim in 2019.

2019 Ford F-150 Limited FrontThe base engine in the F-150 is a 3.3L, six-cylinder engine that generates up to 290 HP and 265 LB-FT of torque. The second-highest engine is the 2.7L EcoBoost engine that is powered by six cylinders. This engine generates up to 325 HP and 400 LB-FT of torque. A 3.5L, six-cylinder engine is the next most powerful option. This engine generates up to 450 HP and 510 LB-FT of torque. Last is a 5.0L, eight-cylinder engines that produces up to 395 HP and 400 LB-FT of torque. The engines are matched to either a six-speed or a 10-speed automatic transmission.
