What's New For the 2020 Ford Edge?
Now at the tail end of its second production cycle, the Ford Edge gains dual-zone automatic control as standard on all trims. Otherwise, this midsize crossover SUV from Ford Motors remains virtually unchanged for the 2020 model year.

2020 Ford Edge has Varied Trim Levels & Countless Features
There are four trims of the 2020 Ford Edge, which are the SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST. Inside the cabin are two cloth-covered rows of seats for a maximum occupancy of five people. Front seating includes a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and the rear bench-style seat has a 60/40 split-folding design to optimize cargo volume when needed. Upper-level trims are more likely to have improvements such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, partial-leather or leather seat covering, 6- or 8-way power adjustability on the front passenger seat, front-seat and steering-wheel heating, driver-side memory, and rear-seat back release ability.
Standard comfort and convenience features on the 2020 Edge-in addition the previously mentioned dual-zone auto climate control-include cruise control, smart key access with push-button engine start, Bluetooth wireless connectivity for hands-free phone operation and audio streaming, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a six-speaker stereo system with AM/FM radio, a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio, an audio jack for audio playback from portable devices and a pair of charging USB ports for smart-charging them, and SYNC 3 infotainment integration. Upper-level trim features include remote engine start, auto-dimming ability on the rearview mirror, wireless charging ability, a pair of driver-configurable 4.2-inch LCD cluster displays, a voice-activated touchscreen navigation system, trial subscriptions to SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link, and a nine-speaker premium stereo system. Notably, the ST is the only trim with aluminum brake and accelerator pedal covers. What's Under the Hood of the 2020 Edge?
Under the hood of the 2020 Edge is a twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline 4-cylinder (I4) engine with 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque on the SE, SEL, and Titanium trim. That leaves a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 with 553 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque for the ST. Both engines have auto-start technology so that they shut down automatically when at a complete stop to avoid unnecessary fuel burning. In addition, each engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. While all-wheel drive is standard on the ST trim, the other three trims offer the choice between front-wheel and all-wheel drivetrains.
2020 Ford Edge Safety Technologies
The 2020 Edge is loaded with safety features. They include seven airbags, a rearview camera with a reverse sensing system, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, electronic stability control with roll stability control and curve control, traction control, an SOS post-crash alert system, torque vectoring control, hill start assist, LED daytime running lights, a front safety belt reminder, lane keep-assist, post-collision braking, a blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, and a theft-deterrent system. If you go with the SEL or ST, Ford will add a perimeter alarm and a keyless entry keypad.
