

What's New for the 2022 Ford F-150
For the 2022 model year, the Ford F-150 gets an all-new powertrain option. The 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V6 engine is available on all models. It delivers up to 11,500 pounds of max towing capacity and 30 mpg on the highway. Other new features for the 2022 model year include an updated infotainment system with over-the-air software updates and a new tailgate design with an integrated step.
2022 Ford F-150 Trims & Features
The Ford F-150 is available in six trim levels for the 2022 model year: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. The base XL trim comes standard with LED headlights and taillights, a four-speaker audio system, and a rearview camera. Higher trims include leather seats, a Bang & Olufsen stereo system, and adaptive cruise control.
The XLT trim is the first to offer the new 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine option.
The Lariat trim features power-adjustable front seats, a 10-speaker stereo system, and a remote start.
The King Ranch trim comes with unique exterior and interior design elements and standard features like heated and ventilated front seats, a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and navigation.
The Platinum trim is the luxurious option and comes standard with features like 20-inch wheels, massaging front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
The top-of-the-line Limited trim comes with bells and whistles, including 22-inch wheels, adaptive suspension, and a hands-free tailgate.

2022 Ford F-150 Horsepower
The base engine for the Ford F-150 is a 3.3-liter V6 that makes 290 horsepower and 265 lb.-ft of torque.
Also available is a 2.7-liter turbocharged EcoBoost V6 that produces 325 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft of torque.
A more powerful 3.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost V6 is also available, and it makes 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft of torque.
The new 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V6 engine is available, and it produces 250 horsepower and 440 lb.-ft of torque.
The top-of-the-line engine is a 5.0-liter V8, making 395 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft of torque.
All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
2022 Ford F-150 Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has not yet released safety ratings for the 2022 Ford F-150. However, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not released safety ratings for the 2022 model year.
Standard safety features for the Ford F-150 include a rearview camera, airbags, and stability control. Higher trims include blind-spot monitoring, lane assist, and adaptive cruise control.
