2022 Ford Mustang Exterior

What's New for the 2022 Ford Mustang?

Ford's iconic muscle car returns for 2022 with a few new appearance packages. The Ice White Edition package will certainly cause heads to turn. Not only does this special-edition package add exclusive Oxford White exterior treatments, but it also brings black and white interior accents. Featuring clear taillight lenses and signature 19-inch alloy wheels, the newly available Stealth appearance package looks just as cool. Meanwhile, the V8-powered GT model can be outfitted with Ford's legendary California Special package. It elevates the car's curb appeal by adding a unique black grille, a rear fender scoop, and a few more eye-catching touches.

2022 Mustang Trims & Features

The 2022 Ford Mustang gives you multiple trims to choose from. Even the entry-level Mustang EcoBoost brings a lot to the table. Just a few of its key features include full LED headlights, a built-in Track Apps program, and intelligent keyless access with a push-button start.

If you desire a greater sense of luxury, step up to the EcoBoost Premium trim. ActiveX seating surfaces give its cabin an especially upscale feel. Other goodies include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated/cooled front seats, an 8.0-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, and a nine-speaker premium audio system.

The more powerful Mustang GT's list of standard equipment mirrors that of the base EcoBoost trim. However, it does add power-adjustable front seats and rear parking sensors. Yet another notch up the trim ladder is the leather-appointed Mustang GT Premium.

If you desire something even more special, check out the limited-production Mach 1 model. It boasts a number of exclusive styling cues and performance upgrades. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard. Ford also offers a Mustang Mach 1 Premium.

No other trim in the lineup packs more performance than the supercharged Mustang Shelby GT500.

2022 Ford Mustang Horsepower

Rated to develop 310 horsepower, the Mustang's standard EcoBoost engine will please most drivers. However, selecting the Mustang GT's V8 engine increases output to a monstrous 450 horsepower. Special tuning enables the Mach 1 model to crank out an additional 20 horsepower. Atop the range sits the Shelby GT500 trim's supercharged V8 engine, which presses out a spectacular 760 horsepower.

Stamped with an NHTSA five-star overall safety rating, the Mustang is among today's most secure performance cars. It also offers several confidence-boosting driving aids, including Pre-Collision Assist and Blind-Spot Information.
