What's New for the 2026 Ford Escape®?
For 2026, the Ford Escape® receives no substantial updates. A key change is that the Escape® is no longer sold in California or any state that enforces California-level emissions standards. Other than that, the 2026 model closely mirrors the 2025 Escape®, with a spacious interior, supportive seats, and a composed ride.
What Are the 2026 Escape® Trims & Features?
The Active® serves as the base trim. It comes with rear dual USB charging ports and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard, plus an eight-inch infotainment screen and a six-speaker audio system.
The ST-Line steps up the style with body-color lower cladding, a mesh grille, and a rear spoiler. It also gets a flat-bottom steering wheel and rides on 18-inch wheels.
Next, the ST-Line Select adds LED fog lights, power windows, remote start, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats.
The ST-Line Elite upgrades to 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, interior ambient lighting, a digital instrument display, wireless phone charging, and added safety features.
The top Platinum™ trim features a 13.2-inch touchscreen, rain-sensing wipers, and synthetic leather seats as standard.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 Escape® Have?
The Active® and ST-Line are powered by a 1.5L three-cylinder that makes 180 horsepower, while the ST-Line Select and higher trims use a turbocharged 2.0L engine rated at 250 horsepower.
What Safety Features Does the 2026 Escape® Include?
Standard on the Escape® are forward collision mitigation, lane-keep assist, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.
